Creative recycling

Course details

Every year, Europe generates very large amounts of waste. The wide range of types of waste requires finding several recycling solutions. European Union countries can take different approaches to achieving their waste targets. Inadequate waste management contributes to climate change and air pollution and directly affects many ecosystems and species.
Waste affects our ecosystems and our health. Waste is also an economic loss. It is necessary to find solutions for transforming waste into resources The main objective of the course is to find solutions for creative recycling of waste to protect the environment.
Creative recycling means bringing old items back to life, in short it is the essence of doing it yourself. In fact, instead of throwing them away and buying new ones, you can transform them to make them reusable at home.We know how important it is to take care of the environment today.In fact, in most cities it is now common practice to have separate collection, in order to reduce waste and allow the reuse of materials, such as glass or plastic, for which this is possible. Often, old items can also be used to avoid new expenses. For example, with plastic bottles you can do a lot of things: pen holders, flower pots, even parts of an irrigation system. Instead, car tires become planters or swings for children. Plus, instead of throwing away the last leftover soap scraps, they can come together to make a new bar of soap.
The objective of the course is to develop the capacity of adults to intervene in the environmental education, by training adult skills and by developing strategies for approaching environmental education in context formal and non-formal.

Course Benefits

The need for creative recycling in the European countries as its purpose is to develop a united community of people enthusiastic about experiments and practice.
Ecological education is an important factor in education for life. The general theme of the course is creative recycling, and our aim is to develop the working skills of adults in environmental education, so that they are able to teach children, young people and indirectly their parents and grandparents about all this, about what ecological education means.
In this context, our course aims to develop a transnational program for the development and exploitation of creativity of adults for:
-protecting the environment and finding new ways to creatively recycle waste;
-improving the skills and competences of adults, young people, students and members of the local community through creative recycling.

Course Objectives

The specific objectives of the course are:
-Improving the knowledge, skills and competences of working in the formal/non-formal framework for adults in the field of creative recycling and environmental protection, in order to form a responsible attitude towards the environment in the educational framework and regional communities from which they come.
-Develop an eco-civic behavior in the local, national and European community, through collaboration with community members and through the exchange of good practices.
